Product Description

How It Works?

The encoder speed sensor combines an IR LED and an IR photodiode to act as a Photo-Coupler or Opto-Coupler. The sensor detects objects passing through its slot: the digital output goes HIGH when the object obstructs the sensor gap and LOW when the path is clear. LEDs indicate power and digital output status.
