How It Works?

The TCS3200 sensor contains an 8×8 array of photodiodes, each with a red, green, blue, or no filter. The filters are evenly distributed to eliminate location bias in color detection. An internal oscillator produces a square-wave output whose frequency corresponds to the intensity of the selected color, providing precise and reliable readings for Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller projects.
