Product Description

The BH1750 Digital Ambient Light Sensor is a high-precision light intensity sensor commonly used in mobile phones, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller projects to automatically adjust screen brightness based on ambient lighting. With a built-in 16-bit A/D converter, the sensor provides direct digital output, eliminating the need for complex calculations or calibration. It can accurately measure light levels from 1 to 65535 lux (lx), making it ideal for both hobbyist and professional electronics projects.

Pin Configuration of BH1750 Sensor

  • Pin 1 (VCC): Power supply for the module (2.4V to 3.6V, typically 3.0V)
  • Pin 2 (GND): Ground of the module, connected to the circuit ground
  • Pin 3 (SCL): Serial Clock Line for I2C communication
  • Pin 4 (SDA): Serial Data Line for transferring data via I2C
  • Pin 5 (ADDR): Device address pin for selecting module address when multiple sensors are connected

Features of BH1750 Light Sensor

  • Power Supply: 2.4V – 3.6V (typically 3.0V)
  • Low current consumption: 0.12mA
  • Measuring Range: 1 – 65535 lux
  • Communication: Standard I2C (NXP) interface
